Energy Prospect Technologies S.L. (Enprotech) — a dynamic, innovative leader in smart energy solutions based in the TÁCTICA business park (Paterna, Valencian Community) — in cooperation with the European technology leader ADD Grup, has launched a large-scale rollout of new-generation smart electricity meters for i-DE, the distribution company of the Iberdrola Group, serving over 11 million customers across Spain. These advanced smart meters fully support PRIME v1.3 and v1.4 standards, ensuring seamless transition and backward compatibility. This technology makes the devices a key component of the new smart grid — a vital step in the digital transformation of the energy sector, the integration of renewable energy sources, and the electrification of the economy. i-DE began large-scale deployment after successfully passing all technical tests, certification by accredited laboratories, and receiving official approval for rollout. The first phase includes the installation of approximately 600,000 meters as part of a nationwide replacement program involving nearly 12 million devices. As part of the initial 2024–2025 tender, Enprotech was awarded a contract to supply 59,000 meters — 24,000 of which have already been delivered, with the remaining units to be supplied throughout 2025, ensuring full compliance with contractual obligations.
