ADD GRUP surpasses 9 Million meters delivered worldwide

ADD GRUP is proud to announce a significant milestone: the company has delivered more than 9 million smart water and electricity meters worldwide.

This achievement is another testament to the trust that customers, partners, and utility companies around the world place in ADD GRUP’s technologies. For more than 34 years, the company has been developing and manufacturing advanced metering solutions that help water utilities and energy providers improve operational efficiency, reduce losses, and implement modern digital services.

Over the past few years, ADD GRUP has significantly expanded its presence in international markets. Among the most notable projects are:

• More than 120,000 ADDRA ultrasonic water meters and 1,000 valves supplied to Naples, Italy, together with our partner Idea Srl. Through innovative solutions such as real-time monitoring and remote data collection, consumers gain access to detailed water consumption information, helping them improve conservation practices and manage costs more effectively.
• More than 64,000 smart electricity meters supplied in Spain together with Enprotech as part of Iberdrola projects. This initiative highlights the commitment of Enprotech and ADD GRUP to delivering modern, scalable, and sustainable smart metering solutions that promote energy efficiency, transparency, and sustainable development.
• More than 42,000 smart electricity meters supplied within UNDP projects in Moldova. These deployments contribute to more efficient electricity consumption and support grid balancing in response to the rapid growth of renewable energy generation in the country.
• More than 7,000 ultrasonic water meters supplied in Greece together with TREK Development and NRG. Part of the deployment includes meters equipped with valves, enabling utilities to remotely disconnect customers for non-payment or limit consumption in cases of excessive use—an especially valuable feature during periods of water scarcity and drought.
• Tens of thousands of additional devices supplied across Europe, Asia, Africa, and Latin America.

This growth has been driven by continuous investment in innovation, high product quality, compliance with international standards, and the ability to adapt solutions to the specific requirements of different markets and projects.

A particularly important contribution to this achievement has been ADD GRUP’s successful entry into the smart water metering market several years ago. Although the company was a newcomer to this segment, its extensive experience in designing and manufacturing smart electricity meters enabled the development of a highly competitive solution that meets the demanding requirements of water utilities worldwide.
