ADD Grup is awarded the contract for delivery of balance meters to Poland

On the 5th of June 2017 Consortium ADD-POLSKA and ADD-PRODUCTION has signed an agreement with TAURON Dystrybucja S.A., innogy STOEN OPERATOR Sp. z o.o., PGE DYSTRYBUCJA S.A for the supply of balance meters as a result of the provision of the best commercial offer for Task 2 in the tender 2016 / S 214-390179. This is another ADD’s contribution on the Polish market and an accomplishment that will pave the way for further collaborations between respective Parties. The supply of smart meters is due to start in 2018 but the preparations have already started.

The tender that our Consortium has participated in requires delivery of 11040 balance meters of transformer connection as the mandatory quantity and upon decision of the customers can be extended with an option for 12880 units. According to the specifications and requirements the smart meters have to comply with DLMS protocol on communication level with the Central System. All values and information shared by the meter must contain control sum ensuring consistency and integrity of that information and also must have its source identification (meter). Meter must allow reading (on demand) values and information about events: locally and remotely and must have the following local communication interfaces: optical port, in physical layer compatible with PN-EN 62056-21 and Ethernet/RJ45 and RS485 using DLMS (according to norms PN-EN 62056-2 and PN-EN 62056-5-). The provided solution had to be independently managed and controlled in order to guarantee the precise data of the electricity consumption.

The smart metering solution comes with a full spectra of additional functionality alongside addressing the quality and reliability of the power supply, which is one of the main factors affecting the level of customer satisfaction by electricity users.

National regulation[1] specifies the quality parameters of electric power and quality standards of service recipients. The main quality parameters are frequency and RMS voltage fluctuations and voltage asymmetry and voltage harmonics. The regulation also defines the type of power outages and the time duration of the interruption the long and very long. These features shall be implemented in ADDAX meter.

Tauron Group, innogy STOEN OPERATOR Sp. z o.o.  and PGE DYSTRYBUCJA S.A have already deployed smart metering projects and this one shall be another step for them to improve the quality of electricity grid and better serve the consumers now with the help of ADDAX smart meters.

ADD-POLSKA and ADD-PRODUCTION Consortium is excited about the upcoming project. Together with TAURON Dystrybucja S.A., innogy STOEN OPERATOR Sp. z o.o., PGE DYSTRYBUCJA S.A we intend to make this a perspective cooperation that can only work for the benefit of the energy segment of the country.
