ADD Grup is awarded the contract for delivery of balance meters to Poland

On the 5th of June 2017 Consortium ADD-POLSKA and ADD-PRODUCTION has signed an agreement with TAURON Dystrybucja S.A., innogy STOEN OPERATOR Sp. z o.o., PGE DYSTRYBUCJA S.A for the supply of balance meters as a result of the provision of the best commercial offer for Task 2 in the tender 2016 / S 214-390179.

ADDAX Meters at PGE Dystrybucja Poland

PGE Distribution S.A. finalizes the work on the pilot project "Construction and implementation of smart metering system in Białystok Branch and Łódź-City Branch". The project is part of the European Union's recommendations, which obliges Member States to exchange meters by 2020.

Piloting in PGE Dystrybucja took two locations.

ADDAX at JUSCO India - Another PRIME PLC Based Smart Metering Success Story

India is the world's third largest producer and fourth largest consumer of electricity. Despite this the country is being mostly served with electromechanical meters or digital meters with optical port being the only communication interface. Smart metering projects are scattered across the country and are mostly based on P2P GPRS, generating high monthly operational costs or proprietary RF solutions, which create vendor dependence for the DISCOs.

According to, the bid of Intracom Telecom for a project of 200 000 meters had the lowest price on the opening of bid envelopes on Friday 4th of November. The first 10 000 meters will be delivered in 9 months after the contract signature, then the remaining meters will be deployed in 15 months.

EVN Macedonia, the sole electricity distribution operator in FYROM, continues its smart metering deployment program reaching this year 347 transformer substations and around 35 000 consumers.

EVN Macedonia started it smart metering program with a proof of concept in 2011 in order to understand the cost/benefit, given that unlike in other European countries, the investment into it is not compensated by the government.
