Electricity theft is a costly and growing problem for utilities around the world. As theft rates continue to rise, utility operators are establishing stringent smart meter system requirements designed to eliminate tampering and protect revenue.

One common method of stealing electricity involves using an external magnet to tamper with a smart meter so that the meter undercounts or stops working altogether.

ADDAX at JUSCO India - Another PRIME PLC Based Smart Metering Success Story

India is the world's third largest producer and fourth largest consumer of electricity. Despite this the country is being mostly served with electromechanical meters or digital meters with optical port being the only communication interface. ADDAX IMS - PART OF INTRACOM TELECOM LOWEST BID FOR HEDNO SMART METERING PROJECT IN GREECE

According to Energypress.gr, the bid of Intracom Telecom for a project of 200 000 meters had the lowest price on the opening of bid envelopes on Friday 4th of November. The first 10 000 meters will be delivered in 9 months after the contract signature, then the remaining meters will be deployed in 15 months.

EVN MACEDONIA - ALREADY 35 000 ADDAX SMART METERS IN THE FIELD

EVN Macedonia, the sole electricity distribution operator in FYROM, continues its smart metering deployment program reaching this year 347 transformer substations and around 35 000 consumers.

EVN Macedonia started it smart metering program with a proof of concept in 2011 in order to understand the cost/benefit, given that unlike in other European countries, the investment into it is not compensated by the government.

550 000 ADDAX meters to be deployed by EVN Bulgaria

ADD BULGARIA, ADD GRUP’s partner  in Bulgaria, inked a major deal with EVN Bulgaria for the delivery of 550 000  smart electricity meters based on PRIME technology. The project will span over the next four  years, with the first delivery planned till the end of 2016.

For EVN Bulgaria this project is especially important as by the end of the project, 80% of all meters in its network will be with remote reading .

ADDAX IMS Demonstrates High Reliability in Lithuania

ADD GRUP with its partners Tecnolines UAB and ELKO SIA delivered a turnkey pilot project to Lithuanian electricity distributor ESO as part of a comprehensive Cost Benefit Analysis (CBA).  It should be noted that a previous CBA (done without participation of ADD GRUP) in 2012 had negative results, leading to a halt of Smart Meter installations in Lithuania.

ADDAX IMS selected as the solution for the pilot project in Lithuania

Lithuanian National DSO ESO awarded the implementation of Smart Metering pilot project to the consortium of UAB Tecnolines, SIA Elko and ADD-Production S.R.L. as a result of competitive international tender. The purpose of the pilot is to analyze the costs benefits of smart metering deployment in Lithuania.
